A
  • accumulation of material at bottom of cliff
  • scree sits at a 34-40º slope angle
  • larger material at bottom of slope
  • slope angle increases with sediment size

A
  • debris slides along failure line/bedding plane
  • debris is in large sizes

What are mudflows?

A
  • water is channelled locally to saturate soil
  • rills and lobes created
  • lobes are the front edge of deposition at bottom of slope
  • rills are the eroded gully left due to movement
