Q

America in the World
(Definition)

A

No country can be entirely self-sufficient. For centuries, many countries have been economically dependent on each other in addition to the military alliances. As a newly developed nation, the United States was disgregarded by the world’s leading powers and considered a developing nation. Consequently, America pursued the policy of non-intervention while slowly but surely building its strength by growing economic and military powers to become one of the world’s dominating nations.

Since the formation of the colonial era, the main dilemma of the United States was to establish the democratic order and how to distribute the benefits of this government form. The conflicts between the White citizens and the government, along with the tensions between Black and White citizens have largely shaped how individuals of different races positioned themselves in the society and in front of the government, and how the government was clearly favoring the citizens of the certain race over the other, supporting the formation of inequitable social order.
