Q

What happens in the Valsalva manoeuvre?

A
  1. Increases thoracic pressure is transmitted to aorta, this reduces filling pressure, reduced MAP detected by baroreceptors whcausing a reflex increase in CO and TPR. AT end of manoeuvre, decrease in pressure is transmitted to aorta, VR restored.
