A

When the stock market crashed, the U.S. pulled money out of Germany meaning their economy crashed. This crash of the economy caused people to go to extreme ends which boosted the Nazi’s popularity.

A

It caused WW2 by making Germany lose land which they eventually wanted back, by damaging their economy causing extremism and the rise of Hitler, and making Germany lose their pride through the war guilt clause which made them want vengeance.

2.Germany had to accept full responsibility for starting the war.

A

They were the ones who had suffered the most.

What views did George Clemenceau have for the Treaty of Versailles?

A

Did not want Germany left strong enough to the point that they could still wage war since they had attacked them in 1971.
He wanted to cripple Germany so it couldn’t attack France again, wanted Germany broken down into smaller states, and wanted the treaty to be harsher.

A

It impacted it by giving self-determination for the peoples of Eastern Europe, and a League of Nations whose purpose was to preserve world peace, but few of his ‘Fourteen Points’ were acted upon.

What views did Woodrow Wilson have for the world after WWI?

A

He wanted Germany to punish in a way which would lead to reconciliation and not revenge, wanted a better and more peaceful world, a League of Nations that would help and support each other and help to promote world peace, and the right to self-determination. Did not want Germany to be punished so harshly that they would want to seek revenge so that peace could be sustained.
