“Sympathy with all poor men”- Shows the Ghosts generosity and good spirit

“It was shrouded in a deep black garment… and left nothing visible”-The ghost has connotations of death and the grim reaper
“I don’t mind going if a lunch is provided”-Scrooges funeral isn’t attended and no one cares that he’s dead
“A churchyard overrun by weeds…A worthy place”-Scrooges grave is unkept and never visited or cared about
