Q

describe the movement for each of the joint movements: flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, pronation, supination, elevation, depression

A

flexion decreasing the angle between two bones, extension increasing the angles between two bones, abduction moving a body part away from the midline of the body, adduction moving the a body part towards the midline of the body, pronation twisting inwards, supination twisting outwards, elevation raising a body pard, depression, lowering a body part

Q

describe the movement for each of the joint movements: retraction, protraction, plantar flexion, dorsiflexion, inversion, eversion

A

retraction pulling a body part backwards, protraction pushing a body part forwards, plantar flexion bending the foot away from the shin, dorsiflexion bending the foot toward the shin, inversion rotating the foot inward, eversion rotating the foot outward
