Important Roles for Recorder and Checker

A
  • Recorder prepares notes from the group work during the meeting and, agenda for next meeting and any material that is to be posted or turned in.
  • Time Keeper: Ensures team is on track against team agenda.
  • All team members: Energize group members, create positive team climate; demonstrate active listening: summarize input, clarify ideas, use respectful communication etc.
  • All team members are also responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all team work before submission

  • Document that helps clarify responsibilities and expectations of team members (Mathieu and Rapp, 2009).
  • Is a key document in setting group norms for teams
  • Team charters are often called contracts, terms of reference etc.
  • Usually includes task, team, individual elements, decision-making process
