1) compliance
2) verbal resistance
3) Passive resistance
4) active resistance

What is compliance?
Subject doesn’t resist and listens to the officers instructions
What is verbal resistance and gestures?
Subject refuses to comply verbally or by their body language
What is passive resistance?
Subject refuses to move
Sitting or standing etc
What is aggressive resistance?
Physically Attacks officer
What is serious aggravated resistance?
Assault with the possibility of serious injury or death
Weapons
What is active resistance?
Subject physically tries to prevent the officer from detaining him/her but doesn’t pose a risk to the officer
