Procedures as BAEO

A
  • Obtain and set up BA board
  • Don BA tabard
  • Accept tally from each wearer
  • Ensure time in is correct
  • Check tally pressure is correct; calculate and record all details
  • Ensure BA members names are correct
  • Ensure team name is correct and tallies kept together on BA board
  • Brief team leader, i.e. radio channel, callsign, work area, tasking
  • Confirm BA team number, tasking and location information
  • Conduct radio check before crew leaves BA entry point
  • Maintain regular communications with BA teams
  • Constantly monitor time and external conditions
  • Update location, actions and pressure when applicable
  • Liase with BAST
  • Initiate emergency actions if required
  • When teams return; record actual time out and hand back tally
    and record details
  • Transfer details from BA board to BA log book

  • Remain calm and wait for BAST or other BA teams to locate you
