A

charles argued with parliament about how to rule the country.He once sent them home for 11 years. the last straw was when parliament sent a list to the king complaining about how he ran the country. he sent 300 soldiers to arrest the five most troublesome members of parliament but they had run away.

why was king charles I sentenced to death ?

A

king charles lost the war. in 1648 king charles was kept as a prisoner. then in august the scots invaded england on his orders. The parliament then thought that they could not trust him. at 2:00pm on 30 january 1649 king charles was executed
