Q

how do nirivana beliefs compare to Monotheistic religions such as Christianity or Islam and to Atheism?

A

In chrisitany once you accept jesus as your lord and believe he died and rose again you do not have to do anything to get to heaven - but christians would follow the ten comandments anyway because they want to do the right thing but in buddim you have to follow the eight fold path if you want to achieve nirvana

Q

how does the 8 fold path beliefs compare to Monotheistic religions such as Christianity or Islam and to Atheism?

A

its rather similar to Christianly, you have something called the 10 commandments which you have to follow to show you how to live your life. The eight fold path is more like guide lines but the ten commandments are commandments

The both help you live your best life

How do karma compare to monotheistic religions such as christianity or islam and to atheism

A

good karma they get closer to god and eventually achieve moksha. In christianity if you are good or make mistakes and repent for your sins you get to go to heaven but if you dont you go to hell. So they both have consequences to their actions
