George Marshall was a US general. He claimed the the USA would need to donate £17 billion to Europe to help rebuild and to resolve hunger, poverty, desperation and chaos. He created the ERP (European Recovery Program).

In reality, George Marshall was donating £17 billion to European countries to prevent them from becoming communist.
