Q

Pre-Takeoff Briefing

A

Engine failure or abnormality prior to Vr: abort take off, throttles immediately closed, brake straight ahead
If not enough runway to stop: mixture to cutoff, fuel selectors, mags, battery master off, maintain directional control and avoid obstacles
Engine failure after Vr w/gear down: maintain directional control, throttles closed, land straight ahead and brake
Engine failure after Vr w/gear up: maintain directional control, mix’s, prop, throttle forward, flaps and gear up, identify, verify, feather, mixture to cutoff, climb at 88, declare emergency to land

Establish a stabilized descent throttles to idle
Pitch up to induce stall by maintaining altitude
At first indication reduce pitch, throttle full, flaps 25
After established positive rate gear up, flaps 10, flaps 0
Accelerate to cruise flight 110 kts
Return to altitude, heading, and airspeed set by examiner
