Q

Explain start sequence to starter cutout?

A

Engine start switch GROUND
Verify N2 RPM increase
When N1 rotation seen and N2 @ 25%, or if 25% N2 not possible, at max motoring and minimum 20% N2, engine start level to IDLE detent.
Monitor FUEL FLOW and EGT (both crew)
@56% N2, Engine start switch moves to OFF.
If not, move switch to OFF.
Verify START VALVE OPEN alert extinguishes.
Call starter cutout.
Monitor N1, N2, EGT, Fuel Flow and Oil Pressure for normal indications while engine accelerates to stable idle.
