Locale Settings
Locales determine the display formats for date and time, users’ names, addresses, and commas and periods in numbers.
List views

sharing settings and restriction rules
Sharing rules
represent the exceptions to your organization-wide default settings. They allow you to extend record access to users regardless of their place in the role hierarchy. You can create sharing rules based on record owner or field values in the record.
Manual Sharing
Record owners can use manual sharing to give read and edit permissions to users who don’t have access any other way. Not automated, must be done manually.
Restriction Rules
When a restriction rule is applied to a user, the data that they had read access to via your sharing settings is further scoped to only records matching the record criteria that you set.
Master Detail relationship
master record controls certain behaviors of the detail and subdetail record
Difference of Lookup to Master Detail relationship
for lookup relationships, it doesn’t support sharing or roll up summary fields. Links two different objects.
