What is Full Cab Unattended Procedure?

PA Announcement

MCH to MAX BRAKE

Reverser to OFF

MC Switch to OFF

Observe: - EMY Brake light
- Trip Not Set light
- Park Brake switch illuminated
- BC gauge EMY (280-460)
- TMS logs off

Marker lights to WHITE

Remove radio, close and lock windows, exit cab

Question 2

What is the Modified Cab Unattended procedure?

Answer 2

Same as Full except:

Leave radio in cradle

Turn fixed radio volume up

Don’t lock cab door

Question 3

What is Changing Ends Procedure?

Answer 3

MCH to MAX BRAKE

Reverser to OFF

Wait for TDN to register, then deregister TDN

MC Switch to OFF and observe:
- EMY Brake light
- Trip Not Set light
- Park Brake switch illuminated
- BCV gauge displays EMY pressure
- TMS logs off

Remove portable DTRS

Housekeeping:
Cab lights, Cab fan, fresh air damper, headlights, marker lights, visibility lights, wiper/washers

Close windows doors, OJT seat to park

Close and lock cab door, check trip, inspect rear of train (white and off)

Check train for obvious defects, saloon lights, panto’s

Arrive oppositie end:
Marker lights red
Headboard operational
Obvious damage
