A

Electrical circuit that monitors saloon and cab doors to make sure they are closed

It is interlocked with traction to prevent movement if doors are in open position

A

Yellow bar on the rails on approach to station.

Tells the HCMT:
- Which station
- Length of platform
- Which side the platform is on
- Distance to stopping mark

A

Less than 10 metres - ASDC inhibits doors not correctly aligned with platform. Other doors can be released

A

Prevents automatic closing of saloon doors after 60 seconds

Applies to selected side of train:
Door 1st and 3rd on Tc
Door 1st on DMp

A

Doing it once Causes a delay of 0.5 seconds.

If they keep doing it the door will become inoperative for an extended period

A

Tell them to stop pressing the button and wait until it turns green

A

A

Determine which side platform is on and press corresponding ASDC button

No alarm will be given if incorrect side is overridden

TMS will indicate the chosen side as green on the pictogram

What is the ASDC Override Procedure?

A

PA - short delay before doors released

SDU - observe cameras to ensure leading and rear cars aligned with platform

Door - open cab door on platform side to confirm platform available, close cab door

Button - press ASDC Override button on correct side
- Select first car
- Select last car
- Accept selection
- Check Green door indications on HMI are correct
- Press door release for platform side
- Report fault to Metrol

Level 3 alert on HMI

Driver has 20 seconds to allow or inhibit door release

Level 2 alert - With 10 seconds remaining

If no action taken DER will be available to manually open door

Press to inhibit opening of doors by DER for 120 seconds

Can be pressed multiple times

Timer resets to 20 seconds if train moves off and becomes stationary again

Driver can make DER available by pressing Cancel DER Inhibit button at any time

A

Level 1 Alert

Driver must acknowledge alert on HMI

How do you Reset the door after a DER has been pulled?

A

Reset the handle

Manually open door and push shut with momentum

Return to cab and press door close button

Check HMI and confirm door is closed

Button located adjacent to cab door which allows door to be opened from outside in event of emergency

Hold down for 10 seconds
