- It legitimitizes the presence of psychological disorders
- For determining a suitable treatment

They increase the reliability of the test regardless of the person testing

To find out the psychological functioning of the person

In addition to psychological symptoms, what should always be checked in a clinical interview, and why?
Physical symptoms, which sometimes can have psychological effect. Then the physical symptoms should be treated

=> Especially when the patient perceives them differently than the therapist!
