Q

However to the effects of effectiveness of CBT -

A

Ellis recognised it wasn’t always effective as some individuals do not put there revised beliefs into practice and action and therefore their cognitive processes cannot challenge their beliefs. Therapist competence is also a key factor in explaining the variations of effectiveness in CBT, therefore some research demonstrates their effectiveness and other factors of the client and therapist reduce the chance of successful behavioural therapy.
