predictable based on pharmacology of vaccine, unpredictable based on properties of vaccine

yes, it is a common adverse event. dont use tylennol after immunization
WHat is Guillain-Barre syndrome?
neurological syndrome that has loss of reflexes and symmetric paralysis
What cause Guillain-Barre syndrome?
immune response directed at myelin shealth of peripheral nerves or axon
Which vaccine may trigger GBS?
tetnus toxoid and influenza
What is SIRVA?
sholder injury related to vaccine administration
What are the symptoms of anaphylaxis?
generalized urticaria, wheezing, laryngeal edema, bronchospasm, hypotention
What vaccine materials are associated with anaphlaxis?
antigen, protein, antibiotic, preservatives, stablizers, packaging
How is anaphlaxis managed?
ABCs, EMS, epi, antihistamine, medical attention
When should Epinephrine be administered?
bronchospasm, larengeal edema, urticaria, angioedema, hypotention
What is the indication of using antihistamines?
urticaria
What is the dosing for dihenhydramine?
1-2 mg/kg
Where should adverse events be reported?>
VAERS within 30 days
