What is custom law? (1)
A
Was historically important and became the basis of our common law.

A
Unwritten law that developed from custom and judicial decisions (created by judges) which are still important today.

A
Manslaughter and murder.

What is statute law? (1)
A
An act of parliament is law that has been passed by both House of Commons and has been given the royal assent. Can also bring all relevant laws together in an act, and often make laws that rely on common law.
