1-take out one thick “skins” from inside
2-with tweezers pull away thin lining from the inner surface of onion skin
3-place on slide and add 1 drop of dilutes iodine(stain/see easily)
4-put coverslip over the lining
5-put it on stage of micro then secure in place using stage clips
6-examine the slide under microscope first under low power then high power.
7-use course focus adjustment knob until the cells come to view then use fine focus knob to sharpen the focus

Iodine:likely to stain skin thus ensure iodine bottle on the side when taking drops,don’t hold specimen when putting iodine drops
-glass slides,cut skin,made of glass could shatter so handle gently
