Formatting of expanded form

A

Multiple logarithms (as many as possible)
Write exponents as coefficients in front of the log
^Includes fractional exponents (don’t write radicals, write fractional exponent and move to front as a coefficient)

Q

How to tell if regular exponential function is growth or decay

A

If b is positive, it represents growth
If b is between 0 and 1 (fraction), it represents decay
b cannot be negative (it an be positive with a coefficient of -1)

Q

How to tell if natural function (e^x) is growth or decay

A

Base will always be e (2.7 …)
