A Cancel is a Booked Shift that has been removed from the Worker’s schedule for any reason. This may be the Worker calling-in to work from sickness, the Client saying they no longer need the worker, etc. Cancels may take a few forms, the most common of which are:

Unconfirmed Cancel: A Canceled Shift that either the Worker or Client, or both, do not yet know about

Confirmed Cancel: A Canceled Shift that both Worker and Client are fully aware of; Kept in the system for record keeping purposes after everyone is informed

Client Cancel: A Cancel that was made by the Client

Worker Cancel: A Cancel that was made by the Worker

45
Q

R/P

A

Staffing shorthand for a Replacement Need; used to signify that a specific Open Needs is replacing a Worker that has canceled their shift. These typically take priority for the Staffing Managers.

46
Q

Worker

A

A healthcare professional, usually licensed, employed with Cascade, most commonly a CNA, CMA, LPN or RN. Some synonymous terms are Employee, Field Staff, Provider.

47
Q

Booked Shift

A

Shift generally refers to a Booked Shift, which is a shift that has been confirmed (agreed upon) by both the Client and Worker. “Shift” has been used colloquially by internal staff to refer to Open Needs, Booked Shifts, or Canceled Shifts requiring further confirmation. For our purposes, “Shift” will always refer to a Booked Shift as defined above.

48
Q

Active

A

Describes either a Worker or Client who is actively engaged in business with Cascade. A Client becomes Active when they sign and return our contract agreement, allowing services to start. A Worker is Active when we have all required License and Credential documents in-hand and they have completed all required hiring paperwork and testing.

49
Q

Inactive

A

Describes either a Worker or Client who is not actively engaged in business with Cascade. Used mostly as a catch-all term for any interested parties completing the hiring or contract process, or any former Worker or Client entities that no longer do any business with us. For Workers, this could be individuals who resigned, were terminated, are pending applicants, etc.
