St. Alban was a Roman solder living in Britain who hid a Christian priest who fled from soldiers in his house. The priest taught him about his religion and Alban converted. When the soldiers came to his house he put on the priest’s clothes. When he was caught, he refused to offer incense to the emperor, leading to his execution.
