Visual agnosia

A

-Inability to recognise a visual stimulus despite being able to see and describe it
- patients suffering cannot recognise what they see and this is usually caused by the occipital lobe or rearmost part of the parietal lobe
- A patient with visual agnosia can usually describe an object in terms of shape, colour, and texture but cannot recognise an object
