A

Located left & right side of the Destination Display
Blue when in UTO mode
Amber when in RM and being operated by a CJCT

ODDD

A

Obstruction Derailment Detection Device
Located at the front of the train.
Requires a force of 7kg and a height of 115mm above the rail head to activate a rollingstock EB
An evacuation Zone will also drop
If the beam is intact the system can be reset to allow the train to move
If the beam is broken, the train cannot be moved without bypassing the relevant system with safe authorisation from DTC/TC.

Crew Switch & Pantograph Switch

A

External Crew Switch is used to open the train doors when the train is powered on.
4 of each, located on DTC1 and DTC2 adjacent to Doors 1 & 2

External EDR

A

Used to open the train door without a key
Will open the doors when the train is asleep
The switch is spring loaded and turned clockwise to open the door
Located on DTC1 and DTC2 adjacent to Doors 1 & 2 and on MPC1 &2 and MC1 & 2 at Doors 3 & 4

A

Displays the status of the train to CJCS/CJCT
Located above doors 3 & 4
Illuminates AMBER when…

Isolation & Earth Switch
Located inside the traction converter on MPC1 & 2 and MC1 & 2
It has 2 x positions - Earth & Collector

Pantograph

A

2 x Pantographs
Located on MPC1 & MPC2
Connects the train to the 1500V overhead wiring
Sensors detect when the pantograph is raised, lowered or locked
The train can operate with 1 x pantograph

A

1..TCMS screen on the Settings - Pantograph Screen (this screen allows you to raise or lower them individually or together)
2..UTO panel using the emergency Pantograph down button
3..Pantograph Isolation Switch located in the Panel on right hand side of door 4 on MPC1 & MPC2
4..Pantograph Switch on the outside of DTC1 & DTC2 adjacent to doors 1 & 2
5..Using the Crank to manually raise or lower
6..AUX ON/OFF

A

Locks or unlocks the door. Doors cannot be manually opened when the Mechanical Isolation Switch is on lock

Electrical Isolation Switch

A

Breaks the electrical circuit when the door does not open. Doors can be manually opened when the Electrical Isolation Switch is in Isolate.
