Location and function of Mucous membranes?

A

LInes body cavities that open directly to the exterior. Line the gastrointestinal, respirator, urinary, and reproductive tracts. Prevents cavities from drying out, traps particles in respiratory passageways, lubricates food for digestive tracts, moves urine, and moves sex cells

Lines body cavities that don’t open to exterior. Covers organs found within those closed body cavities. Two parts include parietal- directly attached to the cavity wall and visceral Directly attached to organs
