Q

Can you also explain why flower petals dry up and fall off after it’s been pollinated?

A

Because it has finished its work of attracting pollinators and can then spend its energy manufacturing seeds. Also, other flowers will get an equal chance to be pollinated, which means plenty of seeds will be produced.
