Q

Ao1 and Ao3
Reducing inequality

A

The argument he is that the poorest communities in the UK are the most marginalised and have the most relative deprivation, and are more likely to join subcultures due to blocked opportunities is. If these people get more support and feel society gives them a fair chance of succeeding in education and in the job market there will be less need or anger causing them to commit crime

Ao3- right realists argue that providing the communities with more financial support and help is rewarding criminal behaviour. This is because the more of a ‘problem area’ the community is the more help the government will give it. This will not deter these people in the community from committing crime.

Ao1 and Ao3
Democratic policing

A

Police rely on the public for information, but they are losing support
The flow of information dries up, then they must rely instead on the military policing such as ‘swamping’ an area .
To support police must become more accountable, for example, involving communities in deciding policing priorities . Crime control must involve a multi agency appoach

Ao3- This approach to reducing crime and deviance is effectively targeting WC communities to ensure WC criminals are caught and punished. Marxists argue that this is selective enforcement and the RC crime is ignored by the police this benefits the RC.
