A

Was the ruler of the jews when jesus was born. Ten wives and many children who he executed frequently. Built a jewish temple which was a big part of jewish life in jesus time

Crime and punishment

A

Murder, piracy, banditry and rebellion were punished by crucifixion a long and slow death. One emperor killed more than 500 people in a day. Stoning was common for women who commited adultery. Children who disobeyed their father would be strangled with and iron collar.
