The shape is slanted, one will be longer than the other

OOOCD (opposite sides are parallel, opposite sides, are congruent, opposite angles, congruent, consecutive angles, add to 180, diagonals bisect
What makes a shape a rectangle?
If it is a parallelogram (OOOCD), if diagonals are congruent, and adjacent sides are perpendicular
What makes a shape a rhombus?
If it is a parallelogram (OOOCD), if all sides are congruent, diagonals are perpendicular, and diagonals bisect the corner angles
What makes a shape a square?
If it is a parallelogram (OOOCD), IF IT HAS THE PROPERTIES OF A RECTANGLE, and if it has the properties of a rhombus
What do slope proofs help us find?
Find perpendicular sides, find parallel sides, and diagonals are perpendicular
What do distance proofs help us find?
They help us find equal sides, and equal diagonals
What do midpoint proofs help us find?
If diagonals bisect
What are the properties of a trapezoid?
OL (odd leg), only one pair of parallel sides, and leg angles are supplementary
What makes a trapezoid isosceles?
If OL applies, and the legs are congruent, the base angles are equal, and diagonals are congruent. (LBD, THINK: each type of side has something going on) old legs lengthy bad day
What is the mid segment?
The mid segment is the average of two bases, it can be found in between them
