What were the conditions of the Trenches?

A
  • Many soldiers got trench foot as a result of
    standing in flooded trenches which broke
    the tissues of the feet.
  • Trench fever was caused by lice’s and
    resulted in high fever and flu.
  • Dirty water led to diarrhoea
