and reproductive systems.
Pituitary Gland
Control the body’s growth,
development, and rate of metabolism.
It affects the development of the brain, the maintenance of bones, and the regulation of heart, muscular, and digestive functions.
Thyroid
Is made up of several glands that release hormones into the blood.
Parathyroid Gland
Gathers information from the
surroundings regarding the
condition of the light-dark
cycle and transmit it through the production and release of the hormone.
Pineal Gland
The small, triangular-shaped
glands on top of both kidneys are called
Adrenal Gland
Sometimes referred to as suprarenal glands.
Adrenal Gland
They produce eggs for fertilization and they make the hormones estrogen and
progesterone.
Ovaries
Are involved in the
production of the hormone
testosterone in addition to producing sperm.
Testes
An exocrine function that aids in digestion and an endocrine function that controls blood sugar are the two primary roles of the
Pancreas
Is a small lymphatic gland that
produces and trains T-cells, which are special white
blood cells.
Thymus
Hormones affect nearly every process in your body, including:
Metabolism (the way you break down food and get energy from nutrients).
Growth and development.
Emotions and mood.
Fertility and sexual function.
Sleep.
Blood pressure.
