What did this system establish?
A
Comprehensive Schools created where anyone of any ability could go, got rid of the 11+ but some grammar schools still existed. Do not enrol students based on ability.

Negative Evaluation of Comprehensive System:
A
Streaming/setting - MC placed in higher sets than the WC.
‘‘Myth of meritocracy’’ - Only made it appear equal, given the worst teachers based on sets.
Catchment Areas - house prices by ‘good’ schools went up and the WC could not afford to live in those areas.

Got rid of the 11+ so children were not labelled as failures.
