Advantages:
Low-risk implantation
Lead-longevity
Low risk extraction
Low risk of endocarditis
Disadvantages:
No bradycardia and antitachycardia pacing
potential for T-wave oversensing
Risk of erosion
Shorter battery life
Greater delay in arrhythmia detection
