Q

Diana and acetone anylsis

A

In Titian’s painting, Actaeon seems to be surprised and feel guilty for happening upon the naked goddess. Diana (second from the right being bathed and guarded by her nymphs) does not show aggression or rage but rather embarrassment and fear. This painting highlights the contrast in reactions of the goddess and Actaeon. On the one hand, Diana has every right to be nervous for her safety. On the other hand, Actaeon has done nothing to warrant his cruel fate. This conundrum then brings to question if the cause was chance or criminal intent, and on whom should the reader place the blame? Concerning Ovid’s own exile, the story of Diana and Actaeon should entice the reader to follow Ovid’s lead and draw comparisons between the misfortune of Actaeon with that of the poet.VII However, this painting allows us to see Diana as the victim. We may thus also wonder if Augustus was backed into a corner and forced to exile Ov

Q

Una and the lion

A

Their is dark and light she is covered and she has a more of modest way,. Una and the Lion depict the beginning of the story. Una begins an adventure across the kingdom to save her city from a dragon. She symbolizes the true Church of England, as this work is full of metaphors and symbolism. While walking in the woods, a lion spots her. He plans to eat her. Once he sees her; however, he becomes enamored with her purity and instead, becomes her companion and protector. The lamb, in this case, is a physical manifestation of her innocence and purity. Its presence emphasizes how the lion is so infatuated with her, it does not care to eat the lamb.

A GENTLE Knight was pricking on the plaine,
Ycladd in mightie armes and silver shielde,
Wherein old dints of deepe wounds did remaine,
The cruel markes of many’a bloudy fielde;
Yet armes till that time did he never wield:
His angry steede did chide his foming bitt,
As much disdayning to the curbe to yield:
Full jolly knight he seemd, and faire did sitt,
As one for knightly giusts and fierce encounters fitt

A lovely Ladie rode him faire beside,
Upon a lowly Asse more white then snow,
Yet she much whiter, but the same did hide
Under a vele, that wimpled was full low,
And over all a blacke stole she did throw,
As one that inly mournd: so was she sad,
And heavie sat upon her palfrey slow;
Seemed in heart some hidden care she had,
And by her in a line a milke white lambe she
lad.

A

na it mentions that one her is whiter of her pure of snow.White and white contrasting it. Her beauty is fair and she is covering herself up. Kings and queen she is from the lineage .

But full of fire and greedy hardiment,
The youthfull knight could not for ought be staide,
But forth unto the darksome hole he went,
And looked in: his glistring armor made
A litle glooming light, much like a shade,
By which he saw the ugly monster° plaine,
Halfe like a serpent horribly displaide,
But th’other halfe did womans shape retaine,
Most lothsom, filthie, foule, and full of vile disdaine.

A
