Use DCGW to access multiple VPCs across multiple regions. Put Interface S3 endpoints in those VPCs, and use those to connect onward to the S3 buckets.
What is the Direct Connect Resiliency Toolkit designed for?
It provides a connection wizard with multiple resiliency models. How many dedicated connections to achieve your SLA? Select a resiliency model, and the Toolkit guides you through the DX ordering process
What are the four DX resiliency models?
MAX RES: two connections to each of two DX locations
HIGH RES: one connection to each of two DX locations
DEV/TEST: two connections to a single DX location
CLASSIC: when you have existing connections and want to build upon
What is a VLAN, and what does VLAN tagging do?
Virtual Local Area Networks segregate a physical network into logical networks. VLAN “tagging” involves inserting a VLAN ID into the Ethernet frame header to segregate it
What does a Link Aggregation Group do?
Aggregates multiple connections at a single DX endpoint for a single managed connection
How can you troubleshoot modifications to a DX connection that caused the virtual interface to be down?
Verify peered IP address and VLAN are correct
Verify that the IP address is not configured in the physical interface, but in the VLAN subinterface interface
Ensure that intermediary devices have VLAN trunking enabled on the 802.1Q VLAN tag
What protocol does the LAG use to aggregate multiple connections at a single AWS Direct Connect endpoint?
