Q

What is the Qualifying Individual (QI) Program?

A

Qualifying Individual (QI) Program: Helps pay for Part B premiums. You must apply every year for QI benefits and the applications are granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Qualified Disabled and Working Individuals (QDWI) Program: Helps pay the Part A premium. You may qualify if you’re a working disabled person under 65, lost your premium-free Part A when you went back to work, aren’t getting medical assistance from your state, and meet the income and resource limits.

Please note that the specifics of these programs will depend on your individual circumstances, so it’s always a good idea to check with Medicare or a trusted advisor to understand your options.
