colleagues called in sick with upper respiratory tract infection informed the consultant in charge
You have since seen them posting pictures to social media of themselves in a restaurant with friends.
They should have been on a night shift when the photos were posted and the team on nights were left short-handed because of their absence.

first issue identified is patinet safety - due to the short staffing
it arises concerns over their professionalism and probity
they are contributing to the spread of diseases
how to deal with the siuation
if I am comforable - i would approach the person and understand their situation as this photo could have been from another day , gathering information is key
from the conversation if the person is saying they have lied then i would try to make them understand why this was wrong and try to make them talktotheir educational and clinical supervisor about this incident

commonly understood as an individual’s adherence to a set of standards, code of conduct
in case of a doctor - this would involve integrity to the work , putting patient safety on the top of our priority , keeping up to datw with our medical knowledge ,
what is probity ?
probity is the wuality of having strong moral principles , and conducting your self with integrity and honesty
