Why are relationships important in technological development?
New knowledge often appears in the border zone between bodies of knowledge. Interaction with parties can generate new thinking.
As a technical novelty can seldom be fully evaluated in itself, it will be judged in relation to the support it generates. Through relationships, other actors can be mobilized, increasing support and therefore the change for acceptance
Increase in specialization in production and development at the corporate level results in companies having to supplement their own resources with those of others
