A

La Francophonie was created to facilitate cooperation between its members on:
- cultural, political, and economic issues
- to promote the French language and linguistic diversity
- To promote democracy, peace, intercultural dialogue, education, and sustainable
development.
Initially an organization focusing on french language countries but has expanded to include non-french speaking nations.

The Commonwealth

A

The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 independent and equal countries.
It is home to 2.4 billion people, and includes both advanced economies and developing countries. 32 of our members are small states.
Commonwealth governments have agreed to shared goals like development, democracy and peace.
The Commonwealth’s roots go back to the British Empire. But today any country can join the modern Commonwealth

North Atlantic Treaty Organization

A

POLITICAL - NATO promotes democratic values and enables members to consult and cooperate on defence and security-related issues to solve problems, and, prevent conflict.
MILITARY - NATO is committed to the peaceful resolution of disputes. If diplomatic efforts fail, it has the military power to undertake crisis-management operations. These are carried out under the collective defence clause of NATO’s founding treaty.
