A

This law offered a 600 mark marriage on loan to employed women who married and left work. The debt was reduced by a quarter for every child, so couples had children specifically to ‘baby off the loan’

A

After 1935, families were given welfare allowances. At first there was a single grant for families with 6 children. In 1936 it was replaced by regular payments for the 5th child onwards, from 1938 the 3rd child onwards. This grant was paid for by increased taxes on the childless.

It was given to women to benefit from lower taxation levels and increased state benefits. This was celebrated on hitlers mums birthday and they go their welfare grants.

Contraception and abortion became much harder to get. Childless couples were encouraged to divorce so that women could have the chance of becoming pregnant with someone else. In 1938 divorces to end childless marriages became easier to obtain.
