What is conformity?
A
A type of social influence that describes how a person can change their attitude or behaviour in response to pressure from a group.

What is compliance?
A
The shallowest level of conformity.
When a person changes their public behaviour but not their private beliefs.
It’s a short-term change.
Normative social influence (NSI)
E.g you might say you like classical music because other people in your class like classical music, however privately you can’t stand it.
