Maneuvers Flashcards

1
Q

Rolling takeoff:

A
  1. Before applying thrust, apply forward sidestick pressure to move the sidestick position indicator halfway.
  2. Apply takeoff thrust by advancing the thrust levers to approximately 50% N1.
  3. Allow the engines to stabilize momentarily, then promptly advanced the thrust levers to the takeoff thrust.
  4. Ensure neutral sidestick position by 100 knots.

Q

Static takeoff:
When is it required?

A
  1. Hold in position on the assigned runway.
  2. Release brakes.
  3. Apply takeoff thrust by advancing the thrust lovers to approximately 50% N1.
  4. Allow the engines to stabilize momentarily, then promptly advanced the thrust levers to takeoff thrust.

A static takeoff is required when RVR is less than 1,600 feet.

Q

Standing takeoff:
When is it required?

A
  1. Hold the brakes until the engines are stabilized at or above 50% N1 for a minimum of two seconds before start of the takeoff roll.
  2. Gently release the brakes and promptly select TOGA or FLEX.

A standing takeoff is required during icing conditions.
