What are T lymphocytes?
A
Lymphocytes are white blood cells involved in the specific immune response. All lymphocytes are made in the bone marrow, but T cells are matured in the Thymus.

Why is the cell-mediated so specific?
A
The cell-mediated response is specific because T cells respond to antigens on the surface of cells.
