  • never miss steroid doses
  • double the hydrocortisone dose in event of intercurrent illness (e.g. flu, UTI)

Medical:
- adrenal hormone synthesis inhibitors: ketoconazole, metyrapone, aminoglutethimide, etomidate
- destroy adrenocortical cells: mitotane

  • radiotherapy
  • bilateral adrenalectomy
