Q

Replication steps

A
  1. The enzyme DNA helicase unwinds the double helix and breaks the hydrogen bonds
  2. Each original strands then acts a template to build a new strand
Free dna nucleotides are attracted to the exposed base on the template strands and they attach to the correct base through complementary base pairing
  3. The free nucleotides are joined to the new strand by condensation catalysed by the enzyme DNA polymerase which forms hydrogen bond between the bases
  4. Each new DNA molecule contains one strand from the original DNA and one new strand
