Q

Name 1 con for bio fuels

A

In order to farm these bio fuels, some trees may need to be cut down in order to make space for the plants to grow which we would then later turn to bio fuels. The process of terraforming the land may lead to Co2 emissions

Q

How do hydroelectric dams work

A

Hydroelectric dams work by trapping a large amount of water on one side of the dam from rain or another source of water forming a reservoir. This reservoir has a large amount of gravitational potential energy which we can transform into electrical energy through the turbines on the dam which work the generators on the inside

Q

How do tidal barrages work

A

Tidal barrages work by trapping the high tides of water on one side so that when the water levels reduce, there is some sort of reservoir that has a large amount of gravitational potential energy which can be transformed into electrical energy through the turbines on the tidal barrage. This in turn works the generators on the inside forming electrical energy
