-The animal has not been currently vaccinated against rabies

What happens on day 10 of a quarantine hold?

Answer 5

The APO must conduct a health check. If the animal appears healthy, it can be released. If it appears ill, the APO must contact Boulder County Health Department for further direction.

What happens if an animal has not been located following a bite?

A special watch will be initiated by the APO until the 10 days period has passed.

What authority does an APO have if an animal is in immediate danger while left unattended in a vehicle?

Answer 7

The APO has authority to remove the animal from the vehicle. A police office must promptly be called, however does not need to be present while removing animal from vehicle. APO will then post notice of impoundment prior to transporting.

If an animal does not appear to be in peril while unattended in a vehicle, what should the APO do?

Answer 8

Obtain a temperature reading inside the vehicle.
Clear, list and obtain registered owner information for the vehicle. If owner is unable to be located, notice should be posted on vehicle.

No person shall not be charged with unreasonable animal noise unless they have received a written warning in person within 12 months proceeding the violations date.

-If RP is known: APO will make contact to gather information, then suggest the RP peak with the guardian or mediation. If not applicable, APO will speak with guardians` residence.
-If RP is unknown: APO will respond to guardian residence.
